The chart gives information about producing and consuming electricity in the top 10 countries in 2014.
Overall, it is clearly seen that China and the USA produced and consumed significantly more electricity among the ten countries, whereas South Korea was last on the list. It is also important to notice that Germany was the only country where consumption of energy exceeded production.
Comparison of electricity production in China and the USA in 2014 showed the dominance of the former, with 5,398 billion kWh and 4,099 billion kWh respectively. Electricity usage was also higher in China than in the USA, with 5,322 billion kWh and 3,866 billion kWh accordingly.
In terms of other 8 countries Russia was the only one of the other eight countries with output and consumption slightly more than 1000 kWh. Countries went sequentially as Japan, India, Canada, France and Brazil followed in the decreasing order, declined from roughly 950 kWh to 550 kWh for made energy and from 850 kWh to 450 kWh for used energy. Although South Korea closed the top ten, with the lowest indicators for manufacturing and usage, both were under 500 kWh. It is worth noting that most countries presented in the list produce more electrical energy than they consume, except Germany where the volume of consumption 582.5 kWh surpassed output on nearly 60 kWh.
