Looking from an overall perspective Europe has the highest immigration rate in both decades. However, rest Asia has the lowest immigration rates.
Oceania showed a result of about 17% in 1987 during the decade rate increased from 17% to 22%. Another dramatic increase was recorded by Asian immigration officials from 1987-1997 by 8%. Making this result the most dramatic change onthe chart. The figure for Middle and East African immigrants had a small growth rate from 6% to 7%.

The North/ South America immigration result had a drop between 1987 and 1997, showing 22% at 1987 and 13% at the end of the period. The immigration numbers in rest of Asia were very low with about 6% in 1987 and 5% at the time of 1997 year.
