The given bar chart gives the information on the percentage of energy consumption in the year 2007 for the two countries that is, North America and South America. The different sectors include Nuclear, Oil, Coal, Hydroelectric and Natural gas.
Oil consumed highest electricity from both the countries whereas the energy consumption in Nuclear was lowest combined from both of the countries. In North America, the lowest consumption of energy was from Hydroelectric and in South America, the lowest consumption of energy was from Nuclear.
In North America, the energy consumption in Nuclear was 9% and in Oil the consumption skyrocketed which was 41%, highest among all the other sectors. The energy consumption in Coal was dropped nearly half of the energy consumption from Oil which was of 20% and Hydroelectric and Natural gas stand at 5% and 25% of the total energy consumption respectively.
In South America, similar ups and down pattern is observed. The Nuclear sector consumed 1% of the energy consumption which was lowest among all and Oil sector consumed highest energy which was at 45%. After that the energy consumption dropped drastically in Coal which was of 5% and in Hydroelectric it increased and stands at 28%. Lastly, the energy consumption in Natural gas was of 21 which dropped by a bit from Hydroelectric sector.
