The bar graph shows the attendance of people in different ages, for 3 different types of music events in 2006, in Australia.
Overall, between the ages of 15 to 44 years old , popular music events were the most frequented. Showing significant higher percentages of attendance than the others music genres. In contrast opera events were most commun between middle-age and older people, wheras classical music remained relatively stable across all ages ranges
Popular music attendance was highest amoung people aged 15-24, at 38%, followed by those aged 35-44 with 33%. The figure then droped to 13% for the 45-54 age group and reached its lowest point, at only 5% amoung people age 55 and over.
Opera showed a different pattern, increasing from 13% in the youngst group to a peak of 25% among those aged 35-44. It han remain relatively high, when compared with the other music categories, at 15% for both the 45-54 and 55+ age groups.
By comparison, classical music attraced fewer individuals but more consistant proportions, ranging from 8% to 11% across all ages
