The line graph below demonstrates number of different shops that was opened and closed throughout 2011-2018.
Overall, the number of openings showed a downward trend over the period, while closures flactuated significantly, reaching a dramatic low in 2015. By the end of the period, closures number was higher than openings.
In 2011, approximately 8500 new shops were opened, compared about 6500 closures. Despite this, 2011 was the largest point of openings over all period, making the final leap in 2014 when it reached about 6000. Meanwhile, closures remained relatively stable at between 6.000 and 7.000 during this period.
In 2015, total of closures reached it’s dramatic lowest point, almost 0 level, it’s quantity was approximately 500. In spite of closures’ sharp decline, stable tendency recovered up to 2016 and returned just under it’s initial level (around 5100~). However, even though the closures felt in 2015, number of openings never significantly increased. On the contrary, up to 2016 new shops were under the closures and cost only 4000. Buisness openings reached their lowest point at 3000 in 2018.
In conclusion, as seen from graph, in spite of dramatically decreased closures in 2015, downward tendency chased openings over all period. In compare, closures always stayed at approximately stable point (excluding 2015) .
