The bar chart illustrates various methods (Landfill, Incineration, Recycling, and Compositing) of waste disposal in four different cities – Toronto, Madrid, Kuala Lumpur, and Amman. Overall, the Landfill was the most used method in Toronto and Amman, while Madrid and Kuala Lumpur applied the Incineration method of waste disposal more than others. Notably, the Compositing was the least used method among all cities in question.
Toronto and Amman were the main users of the Landfill method. The Landfill method topped the chart by a significant margin, with approximately 74%, in Toronto, while it led with roughly 49% in Amman. Furthermore, the Incineration method in both Toronto and Amman ranked second, at more or less 10% and 38%. While the Recycling and the Compositing methods followed closely behind, with their respective figures of about 8% and 7% in Toronto, the Recycling came in a distant third, at around 10% and the Compositing method trailed fairly behind, with about 2% in Amman.
Regarding Incineration, the most applied method in Madrid and Kuala Lumpur, led with 40% in Madrid and approximately 55% in Kuala Lumpur, respectively. While the Landfill ranked second, at roughly 29% in Madrid, it ranked third in Kuala Lumpur, with around 16%. Meanwhile, Recycling method made up around 22% in both cities. The remaining method – Compositing followed distantly behind with their respective figures of more or less 9% and 7% in Madrid and Kuala Lumpur.
