The bar chart illustrates the percentage of men and women who did not engage in any workouts throughout the year 2005. Overall, it is clear that the percentage of women who did not exercise was higher compared to that of men. Additionally, older individuals, both men and women, exercised less frequently than younger ones.
Generally, older people tend to exercise less because they have less energy than younger individuals. Throughout the year, 36% of men aged 55 and older did not exercise, while the percentage for women in the same age group was slightly higher at 46%. Moreover, among the middle-aged group (35-44 years), about 32% of women and around 28% of men did not engage in workouts.
The younger generation, both male and female, definitely exercised more than the older generation. Among boys, the percentage of those who did not work out was 12%, while girls exercised less than boys, with a difference of about 6%.
