The graph illustrates the mean percentage of men who smoke in many different areas, including the world, as well as Armenia, Egypt, Lebanon, Bangladesh, Cuba, Mexico and Australia in a period of time of 15 years, from 2000 to 2015.
Overall, it can be seen that Armenia reached the highest percentage of men smokers whereas Australia had the least. The biggest difference of percentages was noticed in Bangladesh. All areas had slightly decreased their percentages of male smokers apart from Egypt and Lebanon, who had increased their number of smokers.
Firstly, Armenia recorded the highest number of men who smoke with on average 67% in 2000 and 51% in 2015. In contrast, Australia experienced the lowest amount of male smokers with approximately 29% in 2000 and 18% in 2015. The biggest gap between the percentages from a country was Bangladesh, where it peaked at 62% in 2000 and hit a low of 39% in 2015.
In addition, every country witnessed a slight decrease, besides from Egypt and Lebanon who surged, from approximately 35% in 2000 to 49% in 2015 and from 34% in 2000 to 44% in 2015, respectively.
