The chart given demonstrate the number of adult male smokers in seven different countries and globally, in the years 2000 and 2015. Overall, the percentage of male smokers decreased from 2000 to 2015, with the notable exceptions of Egypt and Lebanon, where rates increased.
In 2000, Armenia, Bangladesh, and Cuba stood as the highest percentages of male smokers than the world average. In fact, these three countriues had smoking rates over fifty percent. However, in 2015 Armenia experienced a substantial decline in its smoking rates, dropping by about 25 pencentage points. Moreover, the global average for male smokers decreased to around 35 percent in 2015.
In contrast, Egypt and Lebanon saw a steady rise between 2000 and 2015. Starting from 35 percent and rose to around 50 percent for Egypt and 35 percent for Lebanon. Although, these two country not the highest among the others, but their proportions are higher that world wide average.
