The given bar chart illustrates information about the proportion of Australian children in different age groups taking part in four different types of activities: watching TV, Reading, Art and Riding the bike in 2012.
Overall, at first glance, it can be seen that watching TV and riding the bike were quite popular activities with high percentage of children taking part, while reading and doing art were lower.
Looking at details, with above 80% of children aged from 5 to 16 years reached its peak among other activities. In riding the bicycle, the percentages of both 5-8 years old and 12 to 16 years old children were almost similar 80%. However, the percentage of children between the ages 9-11 was just above 60%
In contrast, the data for reading and art were not as high as watching TV and cycling. In the former, the proportion of all three age groups was just above 60%. Whereas, the datas for art, only children 5-8 years old children reached 60%, others, however, 9 to 11 and 12 to 16 years was approximately 51% and 49% respectively.
