The bar chart gives information about expenditures in five lifestyle categories for residents of four different nations in 2009.
Overall, among the four countries, it is readily apparent that food, transportation, and housing are the biggest expenditures. How the United States spends the most on its homes while Japan strives to get the most in their spending on food. Health care and clothing are smaller expenses and transportation is a greater expenditure than food in only Canada and the US from the chart given.
Expenditures on food range from a low to 14% in the United States to a high 22% in Japan’s result expense, with Canada (15%) and the UK (21%) in between. Meanwhile, housing costs present a slightly higher percentage for all of the countries, yet the United States spends the highest approximately 26%. The numbers were more variable for transportation as Canada stood at 20%, alongside the USA with about 19% lower than Canada while the UK and Japan were lower at 15% and 10%, respectively.
In addition, health care is by far the most medical expense in the USA (8%) while other countries stay below 5%. Hence, clothing Canada spends the most of its income (7%), followed by the UK (6%), Japan (4%), and lastly the United States at (3%).
