The amount spent on fast foods for people under the age of 20 stood at 10 dollars in 1990. The amount grew slightly by 20 dollars between 1990 and 2000. Over the next decade the budget increased by 2 folds. The budget spent on fast food for people in their 20s to 40s increased steadily through out the three decades. It began at 10 dollars in 1990 before rising by 5 dollars in 2000. This was followed by another 5 dollars increase in 2010. The amount of money spent on junk foods for people above the age of 40 started at 5 dollars in 1990. After that the budget went up by 10 dollars in 2000 and 2010 respectively.
The top three most popular types of fast foods are Hot dogs, Pizzas and Burgers. Burgers make up 50 percent of all the purchases. This was followed by pizzas which makes up a quarter of the types of fast food sold. Lastly, hot dogs are 10 percent less than pizzas. Other types of fast foods contributes to the last 10 percent.
