The bar chart compares how much money was spent on fast food by three kinds of age groups in different years, while the second pie chart shows the percentage of different types of fast food purchased in 2010. Overall, the age group under 20s saw the highest amount of spending in fast food each year, whereas most people bought burgers in 2010.
According to the first graph, people whose age under 20s were the biggest group of spending on fast food at 10 dollars, then it saw a dramatic rise to 60 dollars in 2010. Followed by the age group 21-40s, the figure of their average monthly spending was 10 dollars, the same as under 20s, after a moderate growth, it reached 20 dollars in 2010. By contrast, the amount of age over 40s was the lowest spending group in three years, at less than 15 dollars.
The second graph reveals the burgers saw the largest share of all age group purchase, with 50%. Then the percentage of pizza was the second group at 25%, which was 10% larger than hot-dogs. While the others were the smallest at just 10%.
