The chart presents the typical costs per one kilometre of garments imported into Europe from six countries (Argentina, Brazil, Japan, China, India, Bangladesh) in 1993 and 2003 and the price measured by pounds.
Overall, it is clear that, Argentina was a leader in imported clothing in both years and Bangladesh had the lowest level og this per kilometre.
In 1993, it was noticed that the highest prices were in Argentina and Brazil, 27% and 23% respectively, which situated in South America. While, Asian countries such as Japan and China showed lower costs for one kilometre of clothing items and it were about to 10-15%. It was clear that, overpopulated countries like India and Bangladesh presented the most lowest prices.
After ten years, in 2003, Argentina and Brazil had already stayed as a ledears. However, in Japan and China happened some changes. The average price sharply incresed in China more over 17%. In addition, in India also was seen incresing of imported clothes. This trend occured in Bangladesh as well as incresed twice in compare 1993 year.
