The three bar charts represent the fluctuations in the proportions of jobs and position among three sectors in three nations in 1980 and the expected distribution in 2020.
Overall, each nation varied in its statistics and expected rates of employment, but a common characteristic that all three shared was a noticeable predicted upward trend in the percentages of position in the services sector, as well as a notable expected reduction in agriculture.
Specifically, it was predicted that services positions would increase ten percent in country A, from over 40 percent in 1980 to more than 50 percent. Similarly, nation C’s service sector would constitute nearly 80 percent of the total employment, which would be a 20 percent increase. Furthermore, country B’s services sector jobs would make up 40 percent of the nation’s employment, which was nearly double the figure in 1980.
In contrast, nation A’s agriculture sector employment made up 20 percent of the total number of jobs, a figure that was predicted to halve in 2020. The same can seen with nation B, as the rate would fall from 55 percent to under 50 percent. However, the reduction that in seen in C’s agriculture sector is minuscule, as both rates in 1980 and in 2020 remained well-below 10 percent. As for industry, A’s rate was 20 percent, and was predicted to fall by a slight margin.
