Overall, the average rate in Iceland, Poland and in Europe increase over the period, while the reverse was true for Netherland. In addition, average number of cars in Iceland was highest in all years. Conversely, average number of cars in Latvia accounted for the smallest share over the period.
In 2005, average rate in Iceland stood at nearly 820, however this figure started increasing by 2015, reaching a peak of around 890 cars per 1000 people. Similarly, Poland experienced a growth in average rate over the period, particularly, from 500 to roughly 530 cars. Moreover, average rate in Europe increased from 700 cars to nearly 790 cars over the decade.
In contrast, average rate in Netherland decreased from around 650 cars to about 560 cars between 2005 and 2015. At the same time, average rate in Latvia and in UK remained the same.
