The illustration represents the difference in percentage of families owning vehicles in one of European country from 1971 to 2001.
Throughout the given time period, there were few fluctuations in percentages of families with and without cars. Families that had no car decreased in every decade and remained same in the last decade.
In 1971, there were little less than 50% of population with no car, approximately 35% of individuals with one car and nearly 20% of families with two cars. By second decade, in 1981, there were detected a significant change in percentages such as lessening of households with no car to approximately 42%, diminishing number of families with one vehicle(a little more than 30%), and almost double in number of people with two cars(nearly 30%).
In 1991, only 30% of the population had no car, slightly more than 20% of population with two cars and slightly less than 20% of population with one car. In the last decade, in 2001, the number of the households with no car remained the same as last decade, one vehicle owned households doubled its previous percentage(approximately 43%) and the households with two vehicles became slightly more than 30% of the population.
