Overall, a significant increase was observed in some industries, while other industries have suffered dramatic drops. The remaining industries have slightly changed.
in 1850, manufacturing and services were representing the majority of the manpower in the main industries with 36% and 33% respectively. Followed by that 22% of the workers were in agriculture and fishing. In contrast, few proposition of the workers were in the construction with 5% and utilities with 3%.
In 2020, services dominated the top industries in Canada with 85% workforce. Additionally, Manpower in manufacturing has slightly inclined from 5% in 1850 to 8% in 2020. In contract, the percentage of people working in manufacturing and Agriculture/ Fishing declined sharply to 9% and 1% respectively. Furthermore, water and energy were still representing one of the minimum attracting industries for Canadian workers in 2020, with only 1% work in it.
