The first chart shows the comparison of men in employment in 1990 and 2000. The greatest percentage in employment was in Japan 1990, accounted for 84%, other countries showed more than 70% of men in employment in Belgium, USA, Australia. In 2000, the changes were very noticeable. The greatest drop was in Belgium, the employment in men dropped in 60%, which was very shocking, and could have worsen the country. Other countries like USA, Australia, Japan dropped in 20-30% which was normal, but still very noticeable compared to 1990.
The second chart illustrates women aged 60-64 in employment in 1990 and 2000. The greatest percentage was in Japan 1990 again, which accounted for 43%, and the second greatest was USA with 36%. The lowest was Belgium with shocking 8% in 1990. In the 2000, the employment dropped in 5%, which was not as bad as in men, that had drops to 60%. But USA didnt have a drop in these 10 years, and the percentage even raised in 3%.
In conclusion, 10 years affected employment in very different ways. The greatest drop in men was in Belgium with 60%, and the lowest was in Japan, with only 11%. The greateast drop in women was in Japan, with only 3%, and the lowest drop, that can be considered as a raise, was USA with 3%.
