Overall, it is clear that the boys are interested in taking part in outdoor activities such as playing sports and going to the park, whereas the girls have a tendency to participate in activities involving art and craft or books. In addition, the percentage of both genders playing computer games is similar.
Art and craft recorded the highest proportion of the girls engaging among all activities, accounting for 25%. This is followed by books and DVDs with a lower figure at around 17%. After the percentage of girls who are keen on books and DVDs, the figure of going to the park and doing sports is only half the proportion of girls who like art and craft, with approximately 12%.
In contrast to girls, the percentage of playing sports and going to the park in boys is two times higher than in girls, with around 27% and 25% respectively. Computer games and DVDs have a similar proportion at 15% and the percentage of books is about 10%. The remaining art and craft account for only 7% which is the lowest figure of activities that boys participate in.
