It is evident that, East Asia and Pacific region had recorded highest percentage of impoverished population in both 1993 and 2002 which was more than 95%, in contrast to others region. Whereas, in three areas which are Middle East and North Africa, South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa the percentage of impoverished peoples in 1993 was about 85% however, it decline slightly between 75% to 80% over the period of 9 years. Surprisingly, the percentage had climbed up to reach about 65% at 2002 in context of Europe and Central Asia before it was register about 45% in 1993. Only Latin America and Caribbean had least percentage recorded at 1993 compared to others region in addition it was successfully able to decrease its percentage of impoverished population to 5% in 2002 years.
According to pie chart it was depicted that rural area had occupied about three fourth of poverty in 2002 nevertheless, urban had occupied 24% of poverty in 2002.
Overall, Latin America and Caribbean are least to register total percentage of impoverished population in both provided years compared to others and rural region area are recorded more active at registering poverty than urban area.
