The bar chart illustrates, different methods of disposing waste like burning, using as chemicals, recycling and landfilling in four countries namely Netherlands, Italy, Spain and The UK. The units are expressed in percentage.
Overall, recycling and landfilling are the two most popular methods of treating of waste materials amoung two countries whereas burning and using as chemicals are the least used treatment methods. Landfilled treatment shows a steady trajectory in Spain and Italy.
In Netherlands,almost all the wastes are recycled with approximately 70% , which is the dominant treatment method amoung other 4 methods ,while in Spain only just above 10% of wastes are recycled . And in Italy and The UK, 20% and nearly 15% of wastes are recycled respectively. Followed by landfilled treatment , which accounts almost 65% of waste disposal in The UK and in Spain and Italy ,it is relatively same that is 40%, however, Netherlands shared only about 10% by landfilling.
Using as chemicals is another treatment method which is not commonly used by all the four countries, of this Italy and Spain share same percentage that is, almost 20%, followed by the UK which is just below the percentage of Spain and Italy. Above 10% of waste is used as chemicals in Netherlands. Next technique is burning, 30% of waste is burnt in Spain and above 20% and 10% are burnt in Italy and Netherlands respectively conversely only 2% of waste are burnt in the UK which is lowest method of treating waste amoung these four countries.
