The bar chart compares three different countries- the UK, Japan, and Germany- in terms of allocating time for sleeping, studying, and relaxation.
From an overall perspective, it is apparent that both the U.K. and Germany have similar statistics. Of particular note are Japanese children, who dedicated most of their time to studying, followed by sleeping, and lastly, relaxation.
Most notable is the amount of hours spent studying by Japanese children. Japanese students allocated just over 13 hours for studying a day compared to only 8 hours in the UK and 9 hours in Germany. The gap widens when it comes to sleeping. The UK school children dedicated the better part of their time in bed, approximately 8.5 hours a day. Germany is also not far behind at about 8 hours, but students in Japan spend less than 7 hours a day.
On the other hand, the remaining leisure pursuits exhibited similar patterns, except for Japan. Approximately 7 hours a day both the UK and Germany students engage in relaxing activities, significantly higher than Japanese students at just below 4 hours.
