The bar chart provides information about five different types of media used to get everyday news according to age groups in 2011. Overall, it can be seen that microblogging was the least common type of media used to get daily news by people, while radio was the most common platform for all age groups except the youngest group.
It could be noticed that radio was used by around 95 percent of people in the 18 to 64 age group to update daily news, and this figure dropped by around 10 percent for the 65+ age group, while the opposite was true for the youngest group, with only 40 percent of people in this group using radio to get daily news in 2011.
Regarding social networks, it was about 80 percent of people under 29 who used them to update their daily news, while the figure significantly decreased to 45 percent for the 30-49 age group and slightly dropped to 10 percent for the oldest category. Besides, the microblogging platform was the least used media, popular for about 25 percent of people during the 18-29 age range and around 4 percent for the older people.
