Overall, we can notice that students in Italy study a lot, while Finland’s students spent the least time on their assignments compared to the others. However, Finland’s students got significantly the best scores on the international test.
In detail, students from Finland spent the least time on homework, that is 2.8 hours, followed by South Korea where students spent 0.1 hour more. Students from Japan, Mexico, Canada, Australia, the USA, and Poland have taken around 4.3 to 6.5 hours. Students from Ireland have spent 7.2 hours on homework, whereas in Italy, students spent 8.6 hours on doing school tasks, which was the highest.
Moving on to the top science score, Finland’s students got the highest score compared to other countries, which was 568, while China’s students got 543, meaning that they were in second place. Students from Canada, Taiwan, Estonia, Japan, New Zealand, and Australia got medium scores between 526 and 534. Netherlands’ students performed badly on this test with a score of 518, closely followed by students from the USA, who got a score of 516 on this science test.
