The two pie charts illustrate percentages of different activities engaged by working adults in a unspecified country during two different years, namely 1958 and 2008.
It is evident that the longest amount of time spent in either of these years has been at work, i.e. 33% in 1958 and 42% in 2008. While the least amount of time was spent on travelling for work in 1958 at 2%, the same cannot be said for 2008, when the least amount was spent on going out with friends or family at 6%. It is also pertinent to note that people spent more time relaxing at home in 2008, than in 1958, which was at 13% and 8% respectively.
Also important to note that the time devoted to sleeping has significantly decreased in 2008, which is at 32%, compared to 1958, which was at 25%. Similarly, the time spent with family has also decreased from 1958, where it was 19%, to a mere 6% in 2008.
In conclusion, people spend increasingly more time at work in 2008 compared to 1958 and in contrast, time spent with family or friends as well as sleeping, has dwindled in 2008 compared to 1958.
