The line graph shows the percentage of the population aged 65 and over in 100 years in three different countries. It can be clearly seen that the proportion of Japan population would high in 2024 that will be 27%.
According to the graph, the trend of Japan population was the same between 1960 and 1982 with 4% and it fixed in 1940 with 5%. The population of Sweden and USA was stable which was 13% in 1970 and increased (from the year of 1960) then reached 14% and 15% respectively in 1980, while they were low in 1940 and 1960 that was 9% to 10% and 7% to 8% respectively.
In the graph, the proportion of Japan population raised (from the year of 1982) and fixed on 5% in 2001 but it grew (from the year of 2001) and reached 10% in 2022, while it will be upward trend till 2040 with 27%. The trend of sweden population fluctuated and increased (from the year 1980) then fixed 20% in 2018 but it fall in 2021 with 18%, suddenly it will be incline in 2040 with 25%. The population of USA was the same between 1999 and 2020 which was 14%, it was growing (from the year of 2020) with 15% and would be reach on 23% in 2040.
