overall, almost all categories have witnessed a decreasing trend, with the exception of clothing, being the leading share by the end of the period.
In 1960 Food consumption was largest category, accounting for 35%. However, it dropped to 15% by the end of analysed period, making it the second place category. Leisure time started at 20 percent and then it declined to just above 10% by the year 2000. Transport facilities made up 10 per cent in 1960 and 40 years later it plunged to just under 5 percent. With regard to energy, it followed a considerable plummet, dropping gradually from 5 percent to nearly 1 percent
In contrast, clothing was the only share that increased strikingly. Starting at just under 10% to nearly doubling its initial figure, reaching just under 20% by the end of period.
