The provided bar chart illustrates data on the expenditure of income groups in the UK on three fast food items, namely hamburger, fish and chips and pizza in 1990, measured in millions pounds terms.
Overall, the most striking feature which can be seen from the bar chart is that the budget allocation to hamburger of high income and average income were always higher tha the other fast food items, while low income followed an opposited pattern. The spending on pizza of low income followed was the highest. Another point to note is that the expenditure for pizza of three groups gradually decreased according to income level.
Turning to hamburger and fish and chips, high income group spent 46 on hamburger, 13 higher than average income and 32 higher than low income. Average income expended the most for fish and chips with 26, while the budget allocation to fish and chips of high income and low income were nearly equal, at around 17 each.
