Overall, while the amount of oil produced in Nigeria, Chad and Somalia increased gradually, the opposite was true for Chad. In addition, Nigeria produced daily oil the most.
As can be seen from the graph, 275,000 tons of total oil exploited in Congo in the first year. Over a 2 – year period, there was a significant downward trend in the amount of oil, with 222,000 tons of oil being exploited in Congo. And later this number went on falling by 19 tons of oil , stood at 203,000 tons in the last year. Turning to Nigeria, this country exploited 205,000 tons of oil in 2000, which was 70,000 tons lower than Congo. This amount rose slightly by approximately 10,000 tons during the last 2 years, afterwhich they fell moderately to 190,000 tons of oil in 2002.
Regarding Chad, this country didn’t produce oil in the first 3 years.Until 2003, oil was first exploited in Chad and stood at 8,000 tons of oil. One year later, this number increased remarkably by 42,000 tons and reached at 50,000 tons of oil. In Somalia, the amount of oil produced was 5,000 tons in the first year. From 2001 to 2004, this number rose gradually and stood at 50,000 tons of oil in the last year.
