Percentage of employed females in Belgium decreased significantly compared to other three countries in 2000.
Looking into details, in 1970, the employment proportion was higher in the USA than in Belgium, with 86 % of men and 79% of women. The employment figures of Belgium and Japan showed almost the same percentage about 75% for man and 55% for women.Indonezia was in the second place with its employment.
In 2000, the USA still had the highest employment rate for man at around 79%, but the employment of women decreased significantly, in result, the employment rate of woman at around 41%. Besides, the USA, Japan , Belgium and Indonesia also saw decrease in their employment.
