The chart illustrates data about number of men and women aged 60-64 who were employed in four various countries (Belgium, USA, Japan and Indonesia) in 1970 and 2000. Overall, employed people in four country has significantly decreased. However, in 1970 and 2000 the percentage of employed men higher than women.
In 1970 in the USA and Indonesia men were equal employment and stood between 90% and 80% respectively. Nevertheless, in 2000 USA decline slightly and after was between 86% and 89%. But Indonesia decreased more and it was slightly above 70%. Also, Belgium and Japan was between 75% and 79% but in 2000 these countries’ employment stood above 50%.
Move to ladies, in 1970 Belgium and Indonesia was almost equal number around 61% or 62%, however Belgium sharply decline and it was hardly below 10% but Indonesia lost only 15% and became exactly 60%. USA had around 80% in 1970 and Japan had between 60% and 50%. Nevertheless, USA and Japan was around 50% and 40%.
