Overall, the number of people using mobile phones was higher in Germany, UK, Sweden and Italy, while landlines dominated in Canada, US and Denmark.
In detail, the Italian had the largest number of mobile phones, with 90% population using it. In contrast, only about 42 people per 100 people used land lines, making Italy had the largest gap in the calling methods. Around 82 and 58 people enjoied using mobile phones and land lines in the UK, and both of the figure were slight larger in Sweden.
On the other hand, the smallest differences happened in denmark, with 82% people had land lines and 88% prefered to use mobile phones. And Denmark was the only European country that land lines were more popular than mobile phones, shared a similar pattern with Canada and the US.
