Overall, the total distanse travelled by passangers on bus, air, and rail increased over the period shown. However, the same figures for motorbike, and bicycle followed an opposite trend.Following on increases first, the total distanse travelled by passangers on bus, and rail increased slightly from almost 45.000.000 and 43.000.000 to about 50.000.000 between 1990 and 2000, respectively. Furthermore, the total distance travelled by passangers on air increased minimally from around 5.000.000 in the first year to approximately 7.000.000 in the final year.
By contrast, the total distance travelled by passangers on motorbike saw a slight decline from about 7.000.000 in 1990 to almost 5.000.000 in 2000. In addition, the figure for bicycle decreased from around 6.000.000 in 1990 to 5.000.000 in 2000.
