Overall, destinations of nursing graduates in the UK in 2009 showed the biggest proportion of people working in the health sector, followed by further study and other areas. It is also clear that just a few graduates chose to work as hospital nurses, midwives, and community nurses.
Focusing on the bar chart, first 84% of nursing graduates opted to work in the health sector. The next cover, looking at the percentage of people chose to go unemployed with 8%, followed by those further study and others, with 2%.
When it comes to the table, 72.9% of people opted for hospital nurses. Midwives and community nurses followed far behind, with respective percentages of 12.4% and 10.3%. The percentage of people who chose working in other and as paramedics were 2.7% and 1.3% respectively. The lowest figure was observed in percentage of people opted to work as mental nurses, with 0.4%.
