The bar chart shows the percentage of a variety of waste management forms in 15 European countries.
In general, among all the countries presented, Greece is the one having the highest percent of landfill waste management. While Austria is the top country managing waste through recycling/composing and Denmark has the highest level of waste incineration. Of the four countries have more than 3 ways of processing rubbish, German has 10% of its waste handled by other ways, highest among the four.
To be more detail, the first 7 countries on the chart, represented approximately 46% of the countries, have more than a half of their waste processed by landfill. With Greece and Ireland place first and second of 90% and roughly 87% respectively. Finland with nearly 60% of waste processed by this form presents the lowest among the 7. By means of recycling/composing, Austria is the one prioritizing it the most with three fifth of total waste handled by this way.
On the other hand, 13 out of 15 countries handle waste by means of incineration. Denmark and Luxembourg are those using this method the most with the amount applied of more than two third of the total. At the same time, Spain only takes roughly 5% advantage of it.
There is a total of 4 countries use other than the 3 listed waste management methods. Among them, Germany stands out with little more than 10% waste processed by other means and that of Austria is around 2%, which is the least of all.
