Overall, it is clear that the highest numbers of birth rates are in 2020s, whereas, the peak value for mortality was in 1990s.
At first glance, the pattern of birth levels undergoes an upward trend, where the numbers increase each decade. Regarding to the first two decades, Switzerland experienced a 1.2 million of new births. Then, it was growing significantly reaching the points of 1.7, 2.6 and 2.9 million for the given time each ten years. Finally, in 2020, the chart depicts that the peak value levelled off at 3.1 million.
If we look at death rates, the numbers always varied which was not the case for birth rates. It started from 1 million mark and was constantly growing up until 1990. Then, it experiences the highest numbers of death per decade, 1.5 million respectively. Afterwards, the tendency moderately fell throughout the following 20th century where the final point came to 0.8 million.
