The line chart compares the percentage of European people from different age groups who liked to attend the gym between 1990 and 2010.
Overall, the age group between 24 to 33 showed a significant increase throughout the period, while the age group from 18 to 23 had not been stable for over the past 20 years. In contrast, both age of groups from 34 to 53 were generally stable and gradually increase over time.
Looking in more detail, the percentage of citizens from 18 to 23 that went to the gym started from higher than 15%, continued to rise and reached its highest point at above 25% in 2010. On the other hand, another different age group between 18 to 23 had begin at 15%, rose to below 20%, declined in 1998, then rapidly grew to 25%, and decreased to less than 20% in 2010.
Compared with among older European citizens were considerably low. The proportion of people aged 34-43 was less than 10% in 1990, but started to grow in 1998, and reached to 10% in 2010, showing that the figure increased gradually. Similar to the 44-53 age group which had started at 5% in 1990 and ended at above 5% in next 20 years.
