Overall, the growth rate of urban population concerning Latin American countries is the highest, as opposed to the lowest figure which can be seen in Africa.
In the year 1950, African and Asian nations witnessed a rise of 10% and 12% in their urban population respectively, while this number increased and finished at nearly 40% in 2000 in both examined continents. In addition, the world as a whole experienced a rise of nearly 20% and soared up from 30% in 1950 to over 48% in 2000. However, the most eye-catching climb can be attributed to Latin America which experienced a rise of 20% during the fist half a decade.
Additionally, the forecasted numbers illustrate that the urban population living in Asian countries will increase by approximately 13%, just like the statistics concerning world median. Africa and Latin America will also undergo rise of over 10% from the year 2000 to 2030.
