Overall, food and clothing remained largest spending categories in both years while household goods and medicine remained the lowest. There were measureable changes in all the four categories. Changes to household good and medicine were particularly noticeable
Food remained the largest spending in 1995 at about 68%, however the expenditure on food dramatically dropped to 59% in 2011. Whereas, there were no significant difference in expenditure on clothing in 1995 and 2011, clothing just lost one point in span of 16 years going from 19% to 18%
In both 1995 and 2011, expenditure on medicine and household good remained the lowest. However, both categories gained a large share of spending in 2011 at about 11% and 12% respectively
