The bar chart gives information about the level of education in Bulgarian people who decided to move and live in foreign countries between 2002 and 2008.
Overall, the percentage of secondary education was the highest proportion compared to others despite a slight decrease over the period.
Secondary education started with an extremely high rate of 65% in 2002, then decreased gradually in two following periods and reached its lowest point of 59% in 2008. Primary and lower education remained stable at 18% and 19% respectively from 2002 to 2006. By 2008, this rate had seen a sharp increase, reaching approximately 32%.
Regarding the chart, higher education changed quite significantly over the period. In 2002, the proportion of higher education was 17% and climbed slightly to 20% in 2006. However, the rate sharply decreased to 9% in 2008, which was also the lowest rate among the three levels of education.
