The bar graph illustrates the performance of the most common sports played by both boys and girls in New Zealand in the year 2012. It can clearly be seen that sporting games is played fairly equal by both boys and girls.
According to the graph, the most played sport by girls is netball having a rate of 25%, similiarly followed by soccer played by boys reaching a rate of 23%, whereas 1% of the boys play netball and 5 % of the girls sport on soccer.
The second highest sport played is swimming by girls with 21% as compared to the boys with 13%.
Basketball and tennis has similar percentage being played by boys and girls with an average 6.5% girls and 8.5% of the boys sporting in basketball and tennis. Cricket is enjoyed by 10% of the boys.
In conclusion the most played sports are netball, soccer and swimming equally by boys and girls.
