In 1990, the amount of adopted dogs was about at under 600. The cats figures was above at 300. Over the 4 years, the cats adoptions rose to approximately 500, whereas birds and reptiles experienced gradual increase to 100. By contrast, the dogs adoptions had plunged to just over 400 and remained stable at 400 over the last 6 years.
By 2000, the cats adoptions made significant gains by increasing their figures by nearly 50 to just over 600, overtaking dogs as a second ranked adoptions.The birds and reptiles figures had not display any dramatical changes, remaining at 100.
