Generally, the production of grains underwent an upward trend in the period from 2010 to 2020 with an expectation of increasing until 2030. The yield of wheat was the highest at the beginning of the period and with an estimation in 2030, whereas the data of rice is the lowest in the whole period of time.
The annual crop production of wheat was 100 million metric tons in 2010, the highest figure compared to the other grains. It is expected to expand by 110 million metric tons in 2030. In 2010, the produced barley was a half that of wheat at 50 million metric tons, however it has a significant increase in each succeeding five-year phase until finally reaching an estimated 100 million metric tons by 2030, less 10 million metric tons than the wheat’s production only.
On the other hand, the amount of rice was the lowest figure all the time at 24.7 million metric tons in 2010 and the forecast in the year of 2020. Even though its data was slightly decreased in 2015 and 2020 it shows a mild raise by 25.5 million tons at the end of term. In addition, maize’s production remained relatively stable in two decades, only one million metric tons.
