The chart provides information about four types of grain production (wheat, barley, maize, rice) between the years 2010 and 2015. Also, it offers an estimation until the year 2030.
Overall, there are four types of grain and the data is presented from 2010 to 2030. Every data point represents a 5-year interval and the numbers are in million metric tons. They are ranked respectively according to their production numbers. Wheat is on the top with the largest number of production and rice is at the bottom with the least number of production.
Wheat production starts from 100 and reaches to 110 at the end of the year 2030. It shows an uptrend but the trend is not very steep. Even though it escalates slowly, it is always the most produced type of grain. On the other hand, Barley starts with 50 but manages to end up with 100. It rises by at least 10 million metric tons every 5 years. Its production is increasing faster than all of the other ones.
Production of Maize begins with 34 million metric tons in 2010. From 2010 to 2030, it keeps the same level of production which is around 35 million metric tons. Besides Maize, Rice also fails to change its production level in 20 years. Initially it is produced 24.7 million metric tons and ends at 25.5.
