The given line chart provides the average monthly expenditure of three different types of family in the USA between 2000 to 2020. Generall, all three groups had started at three different levels. Besides, low income and high income families tended to increase consistently, while middle income family had witnessed the opposite trend.
From 2000 to 2010, the average monthly expenditure of low income family experienced a stability until from 2005 to 2010 increased slightly around 40 USD. After that, there was a significant increase around more than 150 USD from 2010 to 2020.
The average monthly expenditure of high income family saw a slight increase around 90 USD in the first two years of the period compared to the low income one. After experiencing an upward trend, it still increase consistently until 2020.
In the first two years, the average monthly expenditure of middle income class witnessed a slight rose before it experienced a suddenly dropped back to the starting point in 2015. In spite of that, it rose rapidly and reach the peak of 500 USD in 2020 compared to the average monthly expenditure of low income one in 2020.
