The line graph illustrates the changes in the amount of average monthly of three different classes in the United States over a 20 years period from 2000 to 2020.
Overall, the most striking feature is that all the classes of families in USA had upward trend over the period show. What is more, while the high-income and the low-income both a steady increase, the middle-income group experienced a one-time decline.
According to the graph, in the first year of the period, in 2000, the high, medium, and low income families started at 600 dollars, 400 dollars and 200 dollars of monthly expenses, respectively. After 10 years the high income had significant increase at around 700 dollars, additionally from 2010 to 2015 this figure was to remain the same. And the last 5 years the high income had slightly climb with just over 700 dollars.
Turning to the middle income group, in the first decade this figure was increase at approximately 450 dollars, however in 2015 it experienced a dramatically decrease and return to the original dara before to reach its peak in 2010 at 500 dollars. Lastly, the low income families had the highest grow among three categories, in the first 10 years, it only gradual rise at around 20 dollars, however it suddenly skyrocketed in the last decade with around 450 dollars.
