Overall, the percentage of government spend on roads and transport for Portugal increased dramatically over the period shown, wehereas, UK and USA showed a dropped considerably, on the other hand, Italy fluctuated.
In 1990, it was the government that spend on road and transport for Portugal had the highest preferred of transport accounting for only 28%, however, this amount decrease to 20% in 1995, and in the end it dropped slightly to around 15% in 2005. The percentage of government who spend on roads and transport in Italy show a steady upward trend 20% in 1990 and then this figure declined to approximately 14% in the end.
In complete contrast to this, the percentage of administration who spend on roads and public transportation in USA remained stable at around 15% in 1990 and then this figure show 10% in 1995 and 2005. In the meantime the proportion of government in UK showed the highest amount in 1995 and then decline to around 6% in 2000.
