The chart below illustrates the changes in the figures for international students in Australia between 2019 and 2020.

As is observed, China had the highest number of the students while Malaysia got the least one in both years. Also, China and India had the biggest difference between 2019 and 2020.

6 years ago, the number of international students from China was about 182,000. This suffered a significant decline in the next year, falling to roughly 167,000 in 2020. Like China, Brazil saw a small fall, from approximately 23,000 to 21,000. As well as these countries, Malaysia’s students experienced a slight drop.

On the other hand, the number of students increased by about 16.000. In 2019, the number of students in Vietnam and Nepal were 46,382 and 22,204. Both countries had a small growth in the following year; for Vietnam, it was about 1 thoudsand students and for Nepal was a little under 4,000.
