Overall, it is clear that in New York, Madrid, Frankfurt, and London experienced an upward trend, while Tokyo city showed a downward trend throughout the period.
As can be seen, the average house prices percentagewise between 1990 and 1995 in New York city was negative 5 percent. Meanwhile, Madrid city was around 2 percent and Frankfurt city was roughly 2.5 percent. Moreover, Tokyo and London cities were negative 7.5 percent.
On the other hand, the percentage of the average house prices from 1996 to 2002 in New York and Madrid cities were at 5 percent and approximately 4 percent, respectively. In the same years, Frankfurt and London cities were around 2 percent and over 10 percent, respectively. In contrast, London city witnessed a negative percentage which was only 5 percent in the years 1996 to 2002.
